Blonde Sangria

Hey guys I am sure its been a very long time since I have posted something.Today I have a variation of Sangria made with White Wine which I tried over the weekend.

Ingredients :

White Wine preferably the sweet kind
Kiwi
Pears
Apple
Strawberry
Lemon

Cutting of the fruits is very important and selection of fruits as well.Select absorbent fruits.Cut the fruits in this circular slices in order for the wine to drain out all the juice out of it.

Place the White wine with the fruits to marinate for 6-7 hours (could be kept overnight as well).Mix a little refined sugar into it to make it sweet.

Once ready after marination,mix a little soda and server chilled.

LIIT - Long Island Ice Tea

Part I

 

I’m pretty sure this is a much awaited recipe from the guys who have had my version of the LIIT....not sure about abroad but most of the places I have had LIIT ...hotels,bars,restaurents..the main ingredient that is compensated on is TEQUILA!!!!! the evil spirit...anyways...my ingredients consist of strong imported Tequila if ur budget is high you can buy the expensive one but if you wanna save and get a good taste..keep reading...this will get you 

 

Ingredients

60ml ...White Rum 

70ml Vodka

50ml Gin (just to give the zing)

100ml Tequila 

Triple Sec ...just to garnish

Lime/Lemon slice

Cola

Mint/Pudhina leaves

 

 

Take a Tom Collins glass ...long and tall glass..fill the bottom with around 5-7 ice cubes..and start lining the alcohol around the cubes in the order I have mentioned so once the Coke is put in, all the liquor mixes well.

 

Start with the White Rum..then the Vodka..then Gin and finally the bad boy Tequila,once this is done,mix the coke so all the liquor mixes evenly.Finally pour a little Triple sec on top to garnish...brave drinkers and garnish the top with some more Tequila :).Put in the mint leaves and throw in the lime slice

 

Also if you really wanna be a little brave..a little Jack Daniels can be mixed along with all this..which makes this drink too potent :P

Which brands to use to get a good drink : I know in India the imported brands are expensive but i will mention for guys who wanna opt for imported as well as normal brands available here

 

White Rum

Available here: Best bet is Bacardi

 

Vodka : 

Imported : Sky /Absolut

Available here : Nothing better than Romanov

 

Gin : 

 

Imported : Gordons London Dry

Avaliable : Blue Riband 

 

Triple Sec

 

Available now in India,cocktails lovers Grenadine also nowadays.You could try Nilgiris

 

And finally now the bad boy hehhe

 

Tequila

 

Imported : Any good Spanish Tequila or Sauza that is available in India its quite expensive around 2k

Available here : Listen carefuly :D...Pondicherry bottle a good Mexican tequila made by Venires &Co which is Rs 475/-  a bottle and I have tried making LIIT with it and it really come out nice.So if someones heading down there you know what to get for yourself

The secret why this drink is so strong ??

 

I used to wonder why LIIT is so strong and get you out quite fast.I'm pretty sure there are a lot of you who were so excited before you had a Tequila shot with a line wedge and salt but after you had it it dint feel the way you expected.I felt the same as well,but the magic of Tequila is the more white spirts it mixes with the more potent it gets..Let me explain with an example.You try taking almost like 10-12 tequila shots thats almost 70% of a 650ml bottle and you'll get really high..and you have consumed like 450ml of Tequila (only tequila),but on the hand have say 2 glasses of LIIT and you'll be more drunk because not of many liquors but the way the liquors mix with the Tequila and make the drink potent.

 

My tip to make this drink amazin is once your halfway through the have two tequila shots with lime and salt..

Watermelon Daiquiri

Hi guys I know its been while the heat in bangalore is pathetic so today I have yet another summer cooler....

60ml Vodka

300ml Watermelon juice

20-30 ml lime concentrate

Triple sec for garnish

A bowl of crushed ice 

Take a shaker mix the vodka,watermelon juice and lime concentrate,shake it well..Take a glass filled with crushed ice pour the contents into the glass containing the crushed ice.Pour a little triple sec on top to garnish.Do not forget the lime concentrate as it adds a little zest mixing with the triple sec.

Tip : Rim the glass with salt

Peach Punch

Hey guys sorry its been a while,today I thought I would try making something for the summer season which is almost here...Serves 1 ...increase portions accordingly to serve many

60 ml White Rum

90 ml Tequila

A cup of crushed ice

a few mint leaves

Peach juice or pulp

dash of apple juice and a dash of lime for garnish

A slice of Orange

Mix the all in a cocktails shaker or a blender,leave for marination for around half n hour to one hour,put a few mint leaves server chilled

Appodaka

Ingredients for one serving increase appropriateley for more than one serving

60 ml Vodka

180 ml Apple Juice

1 freshly cut piece of apple

2 -3 Cinnamon sticks

Pour the apple juice and put the cinnamon sticks in after heating in the microwave.Give a few mins so the aroma of the cinnamon comes into the juice after which pour in the vodka.Put a slice of apple on the rim.

Im trying this for the 1st time and I think its amazin....

My Tip : Take a bite of the apple piece and take a sip of the drink...

Cinapple

Ingredients

60 ml White Rum

40 ml Tequila

30 - 40 ml Lemon squash

2-3 Cinnamon Sticks

2 tbsp Cinnamon powder

1 apple slice

Mix the Lemon squash with water and put the Cinnamon Sticks in it and chill for a while.After which mix this with the White rum & tequila,add more lemon squash and water mixture to get a balanced taste.Put Cinnamon Powder as garnish on top.Drop the apple slice into the drink to create an infusion.

Variation : Mix Cinnamon powder with a little dermera sugar and rim the glass rather than mixing the powder into the drink

Also have a 40 ml tequila shot and then have the drink without adding the tequila 

Also if you wanna make ur drink less stronger cut out the tequila

A good drink to have usually after Manic Mondays..

Tip : Heat cinnamon sticks for 15 secs in microwave to get an aroma...
